It's Time to Federally Legalize Marijuana in Montana

Montana legalized recreational marijuana in 2020 with adult-use sales launching in 2022, bringing legal cannabis access to residents across a vast and largely rural state. Montana's small cannabis businesses face the full weight of federal banking restrictions despite operating within state law. Federal legalization would give Montana's cannabis entrepreneurs access to the financial services that every other agricultural and retail business in the state takes for granted.
